Training in Greenville, SC

So last week (August 29 - Sept 3) I was in Greenville, South Carolina.  My company has a large office there and the other 1/2 of the company's audit team is based there.  I guess the bosses decided that the Greenville office is more conducive to providing our entire team some training.  So it was off to Greenville.  As is typical for me, I took an afternoon flight out on Sunday in order to get to my destination at a decent hour.  I got into Greenville around 5pm and had made plans to go out with a few of the local co-workers for dinner.  The two other co-workers that flew with me joined us as we went into downtown Greenville to Wild Wings Cafe.  Being on a diet, this was not the best place for me; boy did the food look good.  If you ever find yourself near a Wild Wing Cafe, order the Hot Shots as an appetizer.  Just do it.  We all indulged in some wings (boneless and skinless) and had a cool night.

Training took up our days Mon-Fri.  We didn't do too much exciting during the day or nights.  Unfortunately for me, I had lost a bet to my co-worker Linda (from the Greenville office; who also owns the pimp car above).  We competed in a head-to-head NCAA basketball bracket back in March.  Loser had to wear the other's college attire for a night out.  Yep, I had lost; hence the picture.  Can you figure out her college?  Do ya dig the kicks?  Yes, I'm posing with a 100oz container of beer.  THAT was hard to resist, but I did.

Well, that's really all to say about my training in Greenville.  I am proud to say that I did keep up with my P90X workouts the entire week (one night working out at 10pm); kept with my non-alcohol beverages the entire week (no matter the pressure); and made smart decisions at all the restaurants we ate at.

I got home on Friday night... Sunday I leave for France.  Stay tuned for some more frequent updates of that trip.
